Do I need to pay for each app separately?
No! All miRARE apps (QDA, Cite, SEM) are completely free. You only pay for AI tokens and storage, which are shared across all apps. One subscription gives you access to everything.
What are AI tokens?
AI tokens are used when you use AI-powered features. Roughly, 1000 tokens ≈ 750 words. Your monthly allocation resets at the start of each billing period. Think of them as your AI usage credits.
Can I use my own AI API keys?
Yes! BYOK (Bring Your Own Key) is available on ALL tiers, including free. Store your keys securely and use them to bypass our token limits entirely. Perfect for heavy users.
Do you offer student discounts?
Our core apps are already free! For AI tokens and storage, we keep prices as low as possible. Students in the Global South and with constrained budgets are our primary focus.
